About us...

Hi - We are Hope and Grace. We live on Whidbey Island now but had a really rocky start in this world. You see, for the first 2 years of our lives we lived in cages at a lab at a dog food company. Nothing real bad was done to us except that we were never loved or socialized. Our owner says we are "emotionally challenged" Beagles, whatever that means. We don't like loud noises or people to move really fast. We have a really hard time getting to know humans, especially teenage ones. We are proud to say we will eat ourselves sick if allowed to. One time we ate 18 blueberry muffins that Scout put on the table to cool while she took those teenagers that live here to school. Big mistake...we were sick for hours.

More on our adventures later. We think this blogging is fun! (Scout can't believe she's getting paid to do it!)

Hey, Hope & Grace - so happy to read about you. It looks like you had a rocky start but have fallen into quite a nice situation there with your friend Scout. When I was much younger we had a beagle named Benny. I recall a family trip to Astoria, during which we left Benny in the car while we climbed up into that fancy building, and when we came back to the car we found that Benny had eaten a whole loaf of bread. It did not do him any good either. 'All things in moderation' is a good motto to follow when faced with a table full of yummies . . .
